So after weeks of planning and some fairly intense preparations we held our first ever poultry auction yesterday at Beattie’s Pedigree Centre OMAGH.
As a family we were quite overwhelmed by the scale of the turnout with a packed seating area and ringside with customers from right across Ireland as well as mainland Great Britain in attendance.
Over the past number of weeks considerable time had been put into making sure the birds were in top form and looking their very best ahead of the auction so we were absolutely thrilled by the level of interest in our poultry and waterfowl as well as the hatching eggs and poultry coops on offer.
I would like to thank all the purchasers some of whom travelled considerable distances in order to attend and also the many within the poultry fancy who came along to simply offer their support to the event or shared my Facebook posts your assistance was noted and appreciated.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to Richard Beattie and his team of staff for conducting the auction and for access to their fantastic facilities.
Finally a very special mention to all those who assisted with the transportation and erection of the tables & cages. Everyone that assisted with the unloading and penning of the birds as well as the feeding, checking and watering over the course of the day. We simply could not have managed without you.
