We have a very busy week ahead getting the poultry pens in place at the venue as well as preparation and transportation of all the birds to the venue. It’s my intention to upload photos of batches of birds and as many lots as possible over the course of this week to showcase the stock available.
Please see below the schedule of all the lots that are available in the auction. Hard copy catalogues will be available on the day.
Please note the auction starts at midday on the 24 February and as we are hopeful of good turnout it’s advisable to come early for ease of parking, to complete registration for bidding on the day and most importantly to view the various lots available in the auction.
For those interested in purchasing poultry it would be helpful if you bring your own cardboard boxes or poultry carriers to assist with safe transport of the birds after the sale.
For those not travelling to the sale but intending to bid online you must visit Beattie’s Livestock Sales on MartEye to register to bid.
Beattie’s staff will consider and approve this request in the days ahead of the auction. As a reminder anyone purchasing online can contact Jer O Callaghan to arrange poultry transportation after the sale.
I have added some photos of the venue, taken recently ahead of a large sheep sale to demonstrate the scale of the venue and the tiered seating is particularly impressive. There will be hot food available on the day of the sale as well as a coffee cart.
Finally can I sincerely thank everyone who has offered their public and private support to us as a family in the run up to the auction and especially to those who have offered to assist with the set up of the venue and organising on the day. We are hopeful for a successful event and a positive experience for all involved. Look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
